Our air filter systems for the VW T3 are now also finished. They are suitable for the well-known TDI conversions (1Z, AHU, AFN), for the turbodiesels (JX and AAZ) and, for example, for the 2E and are offered as a supplement to our intercooler systems, among other things. This completes the entire periphery of the engine conversions.

They are made of stainless steel which is powder-coated matt black. A standard part from the Golf 3 is used as the filter element. If desired, an original cyclone air filter can be installed on the Syncro vehicles. The air is sucked in from the right ear via the original fitting of the WBX. In the TDI conversions, the air mass sensor is located directly on the housing. The ventilation of the EGR control can also be integrated here. From there, a stainless steel pipe goes along the lock carrier on Syncro models to the original intake pipe/fitting. In the rear-wheel drive models, the pipe below the service flap is distorted because the engine is located further back than in the syncro models. All required parts are included in the scope of delivery. All metal parts are made of stainless steel 1.4301. 

The cases are based on our travel experiences and have already been tested in a previous version. They are therefore washable, which you will learn to appreciate in the Kazakh steppes at the latest. The original WBX cyclone filter can be installed as a pre-filter if desired. We have had good experiences with it on our travels for years. This cyclone filter sits directly below our filter housing and thus forms a unit with it. It is therefore not installed on the outside of the vehicle as with other variants and is therefore not in a vulnerable area in terms of damage from branches grazing along it, for example.

The housings are installed instead of the battery. This goes forward under the seats like original on the WBX or under the back seat in camping vehicles.
